Recycle Your Old Jeans into Bags

When artist Ineke Berlyn saw we were looking for “green” art tips, she sent us images of bags made in what she says is her most popular workshop. Using two or three old pairs of denim jeans and an old shirt for the lining, Ineke and her students create bunches of scenic bags complete with label proudly proclaiming “I am a recycled jeans bag.”

And they don’t stop recycling there: leftover bits from the bag projects are used to make postcards and journal quilts.
